This amazing lake is located on the largest island in the Richrich Islands in Western Australia. The lake is a deep pink color all year round, which some scientists believe is a salt-loving algae called Dunaliella salina.

And due to the high salt levels combined with pink bacteria known as halobacteria. To really see this view, consider taking a pleasant flight (1:40 hours) from Esperance Airport.
The island of Socotra is a place that is unlike any other place. Isolated from the African mainland six million years ago, it feels like a scene from a sci-fi movie. The island is home to incredible and unique plants and trees that you won’t find anywhere else. Two of the most unusual are the Ancient Dragon’s Blood Tree and the Bulbs Bottle Tree. It is definitely one of the most unique places in the world!

Even though Yemen is facing conflict, people are still working hard to protect Socotra’s special environment. It became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2008. However, it is still difficult to travel there due to the political problems in the area.
This Highland Park is home to the only volcano in Panama and offers a completely different wildlife experience from the lowland forests. Cloud forests cover the slopes and cooler temperatures support unique species that you won’t find anywhere else in the country. This is one of the best places to spot bright quetzal, especially during the breeding season. You’ll also find signs of hummingbirds, tapirs, and even pumas in more remote areas.

Travel to the summit of Vulcan Baru with a steep overnight trail that rewards you with views of both oceans on a clear morning. But you don’t need to summit to enjoy the park. Short trails around the west side provide access to bird life and orchids without elevation. Base yourself in a boquet or sero punta for easy access. This is where the wild clouds of Panama meet.
