On the northern shore of remote Etigran Island, 82 kilometers from the coast of Alaska, there is a strange tourist spot. The jawbone, ribs and spine of the giant whale get stuck to the ground, creating a haunted path.

People think that the site dates back to the 14th or 15th century, but no one is sure if it was a sacred meeting place for local tribes or just a place for mass whale hunting. What we do know is that it is one of the strangest places in the world.
It is an uninhabited valley 216 miles southeast of Salt Lake City, Utah, United States. Soft sandstone, over the years, eroding by wind and water has created peculiar cliffs or hoodoos that some think resemble goblins. The scenic landscape covers about a mile and is two miles long, and it’s best to explore the marked trails to get close to the bizarre formation.

Also a relatively unknown fact is that you can go on a spectacular canyoning adventure in the Goblins Valley. In recent years, the park has gained popularity due to social media, so visitors are encouraged to plan their trips during off-peak hours to avoid crowds.
Sixty million years ago, a huge volcanic eruption released a mass of molten basalt. It hardens and compresses as it cools, creating cracks that can be seen today.

This World Heritage Site contains an estimated 37,000 polygonal columns, geometrically so perfect that local legend says they were created by a giant. It is a strong contender for one of the strangest places in the world.
